How to Use Azova for Online Medical Help

Janet Thaeler – One of my best blogger friends invited me to a blogger event for Azova health.  It’s a new system where you can meet up with medical professionals online.  I was pretty excited about this because I HATE taking time off work for medical appointments.

Azova is a great tool for online medical consultations. Save time and get help from home.

Disclaimer – I did receive free services and a lovely dinner with the medical professionals of Azova.  However, you know me – I try to give a balanced and honest assessment of the services and products I review on my site.

It’s a great concept.  They have a wide variety of medical professionals – dermatologists, weight loss professionals, mental health professionals, traditional practitioners and holistic practitioners.  You go sign up with Azova and go onto their website.  Then you just pick the practitioner you want and set up your appointment right there.

When it’s time for your appointment, you just crank up your computer or your tablet and bingo!  You have your medical visit right there on your computer in the privacy of your own home.  No need to get a babysitter, or take time off work, or even get in your car.  What a huge time-saver!

I participated in a couple of test sessions with two of the Azova wellness coaches.  Seems like the Azova website is still somewhat in development.  To be honest, I did have a couple of technical glitches with my sessions, which I’ve reported to the website developers.  I believe they are making some updates that should solve the problem.

First, I met with Michelle Bratt who is a health and wellness coach.  We talked about some options for weight loss and improved nutrition.  She was very professional and very supportive to work with.

In addition, I met with Dr. Trish Barrus who is a Behavioral Psychologist with Riverwoods Behavioral Health.  She runs a program called Lifefit Assessment for weight loss and other life challenges as well as trauma programs, addiction, divorce counseling, and many others.  As you might imagine, I lead an incredibly busy life – I work 12 to 14 hour days most days, so it leaves me very little time for taking care of myself.  Dr. Barrus tailored this consultation specifically for me and my crazy lifestyle.  She was able to give me some easy and very specific tactics to add in more exercise and some better food choices.

She was also kind enough to meet personally with my teenaged son and I to talk about some parenting challenges we’ve been experiencing.  What’s that saying – raising teenagers is like being pecked to death by a duck???

I have a special offer for you.  Dr. Trish has given me a special affiliate code to provide you with a 10% discount on their Lifefit Assessment.  If you will go to this Azova link and put in the code Crazy16 (catchy, huh?) then you will receive your 10% discount and be able to set up your own video assessment with Dr. Trish.  Here are the examples of the 3 types of choices that will work with these codes.  There are some other options, but they are with other practitioners:
