Cleaning Tips to Make Life Easier and Great Smelling

I blog a lot about decluttering and organizing, but not much about actual cleaning. To be honest, it’s not my strongest suit, but I’m getting there with a little help. Decluttering, organizing, and cleaning are all very intricately linked topics. In order to do a proper job on the cleaning, you need to have the clutter out of your way. Otherwise, the cleaning operation will take twice as much time. And also the cleaning is kind of useless without the decluttering and organizing steps. Shiny and scrubbed clutter still looks pretty messy!

Seriously though, I hope you know that I can relate. I’ve struggled with organization and household issues my entire life, but when I look at the progress I’ve made over a 25-year period (about the time I started with Flylady!) I am amazed at how far I’ve come.

My house is never going to be perfect, but I can always have it company-ready within 15 minutes flat and that simply wouldn’t have been possible back then!

So, I’m here to tell you that it’s possible. It’s even VERY likely, if you want it bad enough and are willing to stick with your organizing strategies for a long enough period of time.

But it’s such a wonderful feeling when you can actually get in there and sparkle things up.
